ABOUT TATTOOS

  • At Misfits Tattoo Studio – YES!

Your health and safety is our number one concern. We follow up to date health and safety requirements and reinforce strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness procedures.

All tattooing equipment used are pre-packaged, pre-sterilized designated for single-use only and properly disposed of after each client with frequent disinfection of all work areas of the studio to ensure the safety of our guests and associates.

We want you to come back healthy, happy and ready for more tattoos! Always make sure you do your research and only go to a reputable artist that is following all recommended safety precautions.

Also, please make sure you're fully honest about any past/current medical conditions. If you have any further questions about our health and safety procedures please do not hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to answer.

  • We’re not going to lie to you – it does hurt, but, probably not as badly as you think! Otherwise, people wouldn’t be coming back for more.

The actual tattoo process has been described as a “hot scratchy feeling” and the feeling after as being very similar to a sunburn. No pain no gain! A little discomfort is necessary in order to achieve something great! If you ask us… totally worth it!

  • While the entire healing process can take several months, the initial healing usually takes about 4 weeks. During this time, proper aftercare is essential to avoid infection and to preserve the vibrancy and quality of your new tattoo.

  • Free touch ups are at the discretion of the tattoo artist.

Depending on the progress of your healing, the tattoo artist will gauge whether a touch up is necessary. With proper aftercare and safeguarding, your tattoo shouldn’t need a touch up. Repeat trauma over the same area of skin is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.

It is worth noting that all tattoos fade and lighten over time which is why proper long term aftercare aids in prolonging the vibrancy and quality of your piece.

  • Yes! You are always welcome to bring a friend with you for support but consider visiting the shop alone for your appointment. While it might sound fun for a friend to accompany you while you get tattooed, your friend might get bored.

If you do bring a friend, just make sure that they are not being disruptive.

At Misfits Tattoo Studio, we are a safe space and do not tolerate violence, harassment, or hate speech of any kind.

All Misfits Tattoo staff members reserve the right to refuse service if the client or their company exhibits any behaviour that we deem unsafe or disrespectful.

Please note: Minors and Pets are not allowed in the studio in order to adhere to health and safety regulations.
